Grooming Wirehaired Pointing Griffons
Stripping, combing, brushing, nail trimming, ear plucking, ear cleaning, and baths are all needed regularly.
Pictured above is a pumice stone or grooming stone, this is my favorite tool for stripping her coat. Just gently run it over her coat from head to tale and down their legs multiple times to strip the dead coat. I suggest doing this outside. It can be hind of hard to find the right thing so click here for the Amazon listing!
For combing out stick tights, cocaburs, and small knots the grey hound comb is my favorite!

For brushing I just use a basic dog brush.
We trim dog nails ever week or two this way we only need to take the very tip off allowing for us to keep their nails short.
Ear plucking and cleaning... my least favorite job but it's necessary to keep their ears clean and healthy. I will say that some don't pluck as the hair can protect their ears in the feild, but sense I don't hunt much I do. For cleaning I warm peroxide up a bit and wipe her ears out with cotton balls.
For bathing I'll leave you to research what dog shampoo you want to use just make sure to rense them off really well. For drying them off I like to brow dry them with a dog blow dryer. It blows warm air so it won't make them cold. Sometimes I just towel dry them. Just rember that their hair will lay however it dries.
